Practice Nurses 

Each Practice Nurse has a specialised role in addition to their general nursing skills and they liaise extensively with our attached district nurses.

Some of our nurses have advanced training as Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP) which allows them to issue prescriptions in certain circumstnces.

One nurse is the elderly care liaison nurse, responsible for the annual health check of all patients over the age of 75. All our nurses are qualified to change dressings, remove stitches, syringe ears, give injections, perform ECGs, treat minor injuries/illness, prescribing and give advice on a wide range of health related issues including heart disease prevention, travel advice and smoking.

Healthcare Assistants

Health Care Assistants (HCA) provide support to the practice nurses. HCAs carry out tasks such as diabetic 9 point checks, NHS Health checks, phlebotomy, blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. HCAs may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

Pharmacist

  • Bhupinder Pandya
    • Bhupinder is a clinical pharmacist and independent prescriber, currently studying at Kings College, London to become an advanced clinical practitioner. The role involves medicines management, safety audits, high-risk medication monitoring, medication reviews, and running virtual long-term condition clinics.
